Slightly larger holes around ¼ are great for making salami, pepperoni and bratwurst. For a coarse grind, commonly used in chilis and stews, choose a 3/8 or larger meat grinder plate.

We39;re using a KitchenAid stand mixer with the Food Grinder Attachment for this demo, but you can use a standalone motorized grinder, a manual grinder or even a food processor.
